What laboratory tests can I get done at Icon Medicine?
We offer comprehensive testing including complete blood counts, metabolic panels, lipid profiles, thyroid function, diabetes screening,
STI testing, pregnancy tests, urinalysis, allergy panels, vitamin levels, and hormone assessments. Most routine tests are processed on
site with results available within 24-48 hours.
How do I request a medication refill?
Request refills through our patient portal, mobile app, or by calling 240-966-4266 ,
Option 2. Please allow 48 hours for processing
non-urgent medications. Controlled substances require an appointment every 3 months and cannot be refilled early.
What should I bring to diagnostic appointments?
Bring your photo ID, insurance card, current medication list, relevant prior test results, and any required preparation (like fasting).
Wear comfortable clothing that provides easy access to the area being examined. Arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork.
How quickly will I receive my test results?
Basic labs processed in-house are usually available within 24 hours via patient portal. Specialized tests may take 3-5 business days.
Diagnostic imaging is reviewed within 1-2 business days. Critical results are communicated by phone immediately.
